State Republican Chairman Edward F. Cox provided a preview early this morning of remarks he is slated to deliver to an energy association meeting in Buffalo tonight when he listed a string of victories topped by results from Erie and Westchester counties.
"Republican Rob Astorino was re-elected in Westchester County, where Democrats outnumber Republicans two to one,'" he said. "In Erie County, where Democrats outnumber Republicans three to one, Republicans seized control of the County Legislature.
"And if Republicans are winning in Erie and Westchester, Andrew Cuomo should start getting worried," Cox said.
The chairman is expected to outline the GOP case for the 2014 elections during a speech tonight before the Independent Oil and Gas Association at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.
