ALBANY -- Three of upstate's largest cities will be run by female mayors following results from Tuesday's elections.
Lovely Warren was elected mayor of Rochester, Kathy Sheehan was tapped to lead Albany and Stephanie Miner was re-elected mayor of Syracuse. All three are Democrats.
“Stephanie Miner, Kathy Sheehan, and Lovely Warren are making history as the first women to lead three of the largest cities in New York, and the EMILY’s List community of over two million could not be more proud to have endorsed these inspiring trailblazers who put women and families first,” said Stephanie Schriock, President of Washington-based EMILY’s List, which supports female Democrats around the country.
