American Idol contestant Amanda Overmyer may have out Sanjaya'd the King of the Faux Hawk.
Her hair last night was as bad as her vocals during the Kansas hit "Carry On My Wayward Son." No, her whole presentation was dreadful. The jeans, the hair, the horrible impression of Janis Joplin doing cover tunes.
Dropping "childs" and singing raspy doesn't put her anywhere in the same league as Joplin, in my book.
The best she can hope for is that America will be so distracted by her look, that they will forget her vocals and allow her to squeak by for another week, where maybe she can redeem herself. Heck, Season One's "rocker chick" Nikki McKibbin made it to the Top 3(!!), and she was as bad as Amanda!
But the big question at our house was: What did Amanda Overmyer most look like?

Sorry David. Three excellent choices. She looks separated-at-birth from all three! But taking her actual performance into account, I'd say her whole vibe was more B than sweet puppy or sweet Lily Munster.

Oh, don't worry Adelle. I don't really like any of the "wiffety" girls either. They just weren't dressed as ridiculous.
If it helps I think Robbie Carrico is a fraud of a "rocker" too.
Daughtry I believed. David Cook, I mostly believe.
Robbie and Amanda I don't.
And I think I have said that Kady and Alaina both stunk up the joint.
But Amanda was at Sanjaya proportions.
