Morning Links: Suge Knight will settle score after he's knocked out
Music mogul Suge Knight refused to file a police report after an argument in a nightclub became a brawl in which he was knocked unconscious. Bloodied, he got into his Escalade, and the woman who got into the driver's seat pulled forward and struck the car in front of her, then backed up and struck the car behind her before being taken from the vehicle by Suge's people.
All went well with Jenna Bush's outdoor wedding to Henry Hager over the weekend, from her embroidered Oscar de la Renta gown to the limestone cross and altar that will remain on the family ranch as a memento of the event.
Family friends have stepped up to defend Jeff Archuleta, the stage dad of top three "American Idol" finalist David Archuleta. Jeff was banned from being backstage after he had David incorporate lyrics from two songs, against producers' wishes. And Simon Cowell says he has no problem with Jeff Archuleta, ditto Jason Castro, who was harassed by a photographer for a comment about Papa Archuleta until he admitted, "He's a great guy!"
Joe Fontana should be more careful! Actor Dennis Farina was arrested Sunday morning after trying to get through a security check with a gun in his bag. Farina, a former Chicago police officer who appeared on "Law & Order" from 2004 to 2006, said he forgot the loaded .22-caliber handgun was in his briefcase. Things got worse when police found the handgun was not registered and Farina was charged with felony weapons possession.
Hulk Hogan was allowed to wear his black bandanna in court Friday when his son Nick was sentenced to eight months in jail for felony reckless driving in the accident that injured a friend. A public information officer for the court said, "It would have caused a big scene to have him take it off." After his son went to jail, Hulk went to Hooters, where the dress code isn't so strict.
John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston spent some quality time poolside over the weekend in Miami, where she is finishing the film "Marley & Me" with Owen Wilson.
Bono marked his 48th birthday with a small dinner party in Monaco organized by his wife Ali. Guests included Brad Pitt, Monaco's Prince Albert II and The Edge.
