Britney Spears' radio station assurance that she plans an international concert tour "next year" to support her new album was overshadowed by the news that her ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib is trying to peddle a sex tape of the two of them. "I won't discuss prices for hypothetical inquiries," he told Heat magazine. "Unless there is a locked-in deal, I will go no further." The news has whipped the paparazzi into a frenzy.
Sharon Stone's attempt to get more custody of her son Roan has been refused by a judge, who cited some of Stone's unusual parenting input about the 7-year-old, including, "Mother suggested that Roan should have Botox injections in his feet to resolve a problem he had with foot odor." Dad Phil Bronstein suggested he wear socks. "The problems caused by Mother's overreactions is painfully real for this child," wrote the judge.
Christina Applegate, who had a double mastectomy after cancer was discovered in one of her breasts, told Oprah that she "lost it" when her doctor brought in the surgeon who would do the operation. Applegate called her mother, who survived breast cancer twice, a "quiet warrior."
The company that insured Heath Ledger is insisting on an investigation into whether his Jan. 22 death was suicide, although New York City's chief medical examiner ruled the cause an "accidental overdose." Janet Jackson has been released from a hospital in Montreal where she was admitted Monday night after a sudden illness during a sound check. Neither Jackson nor the hospital would comment, but a source close to boyfriend Jermaine Dupri said Jackson is "definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion." Dupri spent the night partying while Janet was hospitalized.
Marisol Nichols of "24" and her husband, director Taron Lexton, are the parents of a daughter, Rain India Lexton. It's their first child.
