Morning Links: Madonna brings gun show to movie opening
Apparently Madonna directed a movie called "Filth and Wisdom" that had its premiere in Los Angeles. Although Lindsay Lohan tried to look like the Material Girl, wearing a crimped hairstyle and black dress on the red carpet, Madonna stole the show with a pair of sky-high shoes that had handguns for heels, drawing criticism from anti-violence groups. Lindsay came in for criticism too by stopping her fake tan at the ankles, then later covered up the two-tone legs with garish tights.
LiLo and Madonna were both on their own at the premiers, amid rumors that Lindsay has split with Samantha Ronson after a string of arguments. Mr. Madonna, Guy Ritchie, didn't make the movie opening either.
Singer John Mayer and actress Jennifer Aniston, who enjoyed a summer romance, reunited for a dinner in New York City last weekend, but they don't seem to be a couple again. A friend says Mayer is "known for staying connected to people he cares about and for staying friends with people he's been linked to." TMZ.com says "they may be more than not involved and less than involved."
A judge issued an order of protection that warned Hayden Panettiere's father Alan not to "harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk or molest" his wife, Lesley. He faces battery charges after ab attack on his wife in August.

Tim McGraw apologized to his fans because his record label has put out a greatest hits album rather than one that contains new music. "I've only had one studio album since my last hits package," he said. "It has to be just as confusing to the fans as it is to me." He said the label extended his contract term by releasing the hits album, although he's worked on new tunes for more than a year.
Christina Aguilera says her 9-month-old son, Max, won't be an only child. "We'll definitely have more kids," she said, but confessed she doesn't know how many: "We'll play it by ear." She says parting with Max to perform is difficult, but adds, "Mama has to work, Mama has to do a job."
Another new mom, Jessica Alba, plans to being 4-month-old daughter Honor Marie to work with her. She's playing a young math teacher who helps troubled students in "An Invisible Sign of My Own," and says the baby is "going to be with me every day on the set."
