Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin, continue to evade police investigators, and tabloid speculation of infidelity. Woods posted an apology on his web site Sunday, asking to be just left alone.
Woods wrote, "As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore. ... This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.... This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be."
Police are treating the accident as a traffic violation, for now, and Woods is not required to provide anything to police other than his license, registration and proof of insurance. So, he continues to protect his privacy, while he has that option.
But his silence only leaves room for others to speculate about the National Enquirer report that he was cheating on his wife. The Enquirer says in their stories that Woods and Rachel Uchitel met in June, and began a relationship which involves continued calls and 'sexting' with Woods. Uchitel has previously been linked to Buffalo-actor David Boreanaz, an unnamed baseball star and a Broadway actor.
Uchitel says that her friends are lying and has hired high-profile attorney Gloria Allred to help manage the flood of publicity and controversy. Uchitel told E!, "I did not have any involvement with him [Woods]. Whatever was written in the Enquirer was not said by me, it was said by two people that claimed they were friends of mine but they're not." Uchitel told the New York Post, "We have never had an affair, and the claims we did are completely false. I am really upset about it because I am being portrayed as a homewrecker, when it simply isn't true."

Pamela Bach, the ex-wife of David Hasselhoff, was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence. The California Highway Patrol stopped Bach in Los Angeles, and Bach allegedly blew a .13 and .14 on the breathalyzer test. She was booked and is scheduled to appear in court on December 24th.
The Hoff, meanwhile, was at the center of rumors that he had been hospitalized again over the Thanksgiving weekend. RadarOnline reported that Hasselhoff was rushed to an L.A. hospital after suffering a seizure, but then was held in the psychiatric unit on an involuntary psych hold. Hoff's attorney Mel Goldsman says those reports are completely false, "David's at home. He's fine. I'm not sure where that information is coming from."

Michaele and Tareq Salahi, who party-crashed a White House state dinner, are looking for a big pay day to tell their story. The couple infiltrated the dinner party, and managed to be photographed with several high profile politicians, including VP Joe Biden and even the Obamas, then posted them on their Facebook page. Michaele was said to be under consideration for a spot in Bravo TV's "Real Housewives" franchise being planned for Washington, D.C. The network has since tried to distance itself from the couple and their prank. But in the meantime, the couple is seeking upwards of $100,000 to tell their story.

Nick Hogan was in another car accident Saturday. The son of Hulk Hogan was in an accident in August 2007 which put his friend in a coma, and famously has been the poster boy for reckless driving. Hogan was apparently on his way home from a fund-raiser for "Keep it on the Track," an organization which, ironically, teaches people safe driving skills. There were no injuries this time, and no police report was taken.
