Morning Links: Troubled son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neill faces lengthy prison term after drug arrest

Remond_oneal Redmond O’Neal faces six years in prison after his arrest on felony drug charges in late December. The son of the late Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal was arrested Dec. 29  after he returned to his inpatient drug rehab center under the influence of drugs after a day pass. The charge was filed after staff members noticed that Redmond was acting different when he returned to Impact, a drug and alcohol treatment center, after his first 24-hour pass. A judge Tuesday ordered O'Neal back to Wayside Detention Center for 30 days while the charges are considered. He'll return to court Feb. 2. Redmond, 24, has battled drug problems for years, and was sober for six months before the Dec. 29 relapse.

Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen's wife, reportedly went to rehab for alcohol abuse while she was pregnant with the couple’s twins, and Sheen blamed her drinking when the twins, now 11 months old, were born prematurely and one of them was diagnosed with a heart defect. Sheen, who has been to rehab twice himself, and Mueller were both drinking before the Christmas Day fight at their rented Aspen house that landed Sheen in jail. RadarOnline's source says that Mueller went to rehab after she was caught with alcohol in her car when she was about five months pregnant. "They both have drinking problems," said a source, "and neither of them should be drinking." Mueller has been arrested twice -- once on an alcohol charge and once on a cocaine charge. Sheen has returned to work and has not publicly addressed his own alcohol relapse.

There will not be another comeback for Siegfried and Roy, Siegfried Fischbacher has told the German magazine Neues Blatt. "Roy and I miss our audience," he said. "But there will not be a comeback." The two did return to the stage last February for an encore after the five-year hiatus while Roy recovered from being attacked onstage by a white tiger in Las Vegas. The attack left him in critical condition, and Siegfried says Roy is still partially paralyzed. "It is a miracle that he can stand on his own feet again and enjoy life," Siegfried said.

Gerard Butler won't have that whole assault thing hanging over his head when he appears on the Globes. A judge dismissed the misdemeanor battery charge filed against him in October 2008. Butler was arrested after a scuffle with a photographer who Butler said was following him after a premiere party. Witnesses said Butler stopped his limo and struck the photographer, who was following in a car.

McPheeKatharine McPhee is almost unrecognizable after giving up her long brunette hair for a jaw-grazing blond crop. But McPhee, who was runner-up to Taylor Hicks in the 2006 "American Idol" competition, has no interest in hearing Simon Cowell’s opinion of her hair -- or anything else. "He hasn’t seen it yet and [I] wouldn’t really value or want to know his opinion about hair," McPhee said. "I spent a year and a half working on the record and this (the new hair) was an expression of me figuring out what I wanted to do." The disdain seems to be mutual. Last year, Cowell told Extra, "Didn't care much about Katharine McPhee. I don't think she was a credible recording artist. Katharine will end up on Broadway."  McPhee just released her second album “Unbroken.”
