The reunion of Christian the lion and the two men who raised him in a London apartment became a huge hit when a brief video of the reunion was posted on YouTube. The large male lion's evident delight at seeing his former owners, John Rendall and Anthony "Ace" Bourke, when they found him in Kenya, was inspiring and heartwarming.

Now there's a similar human-wild encounter, the reunion of British naturalist Damian Aspinall and a male lowland gorilla named Kwiba that Aspinall raised. This short video starts with a cautionary note -- after being released to the wild, Kwibe has been unpredictable in dealings with humans and has attacked several strangers. But Aspinall is determined to at least see Kwibe. How will their encounter end?
