Morning Links: Actor says gang kidnapped him at gunpoint, forced him to use drugs

Jeremy london A man is in custody in connection with a bizarre incident last week in which "Party of Five" actor Jeremy London, a recovering addict, said he was kidnapped, held at gunpoint for 12 hours and forced to smoke marijuana and purchase and hand out alcohol on the streets during an ordeal in Palm Springs, Calif., police say. London, 37, was changing a flat tire on his car at 2 p.m. on June 10, when a group of men stopped to assist him. "After the tire was changed, [London] offered the men a ride home," a police statement says. "A short time later, he was held at gunpoint in the vehicle by one of the occupants. The gunman forced London to drive to various locations throughout the city, purchase alcohol and use illicit drugs." London was able to escape around 2 a.m. on June 11 and notify police. His rep said, "Thankfully, Jeremy London survived his terrorizing ordeal in Palm Springs last week – although understandably shaken and scared, he is currently working closely with law enforcement as they investigate the horrific turn of events." Brandon Adams, 26, of Palm Springs, pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, robbery, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and carjacking, police said.

Blogger Perez Hilton, who tweeted a link to an apparently explicit paparazzi photo of Miley Cyrus, probably won't face any legal consequences, a Beverly Hills criminal defense attorney says. Attorney Howard Price told People, "It seems unlikely Perez would be prosecuted for any criminal act in this case. ... Prosecutors aren't going to waste their time trying to go after an isolated event like this. They are more concerned about more serious and widespread cases." After he was the target of outrage from the hosts of "The View," ABC pulled ads for the show from Hilton's web site. Hilton told Entertainment Weekly, "I find it odd that an advertiser would choose to pull an ad off my site because the photo in question, which was not pornographic and showed a fully clothed Miley Cyrus, was not posted on my website or even linked from my site."

Here's a shock -- a source tells TMZ that a DNA test taken in 2002 as part of "an ongoing child support battle" proves that Tiger Woods is not the father of porn star Devon James's son. But that hasn't stopped James -- real name Melinda Jannette -- from filing a paternity suit anyway, which she did Thursday in Florida. Devon James' mother, who may be the "source" mentioned above, has custody of 9-year-old Austin Brinling, and says her daughter made up the whole story. Published photos show that the little guy does look a bit like Tiger.

Two friends of Gary Coleman who helped him execute his 2005 will plan to organize a private memorial service for the actor sometime in the next few months, but Kent Emmons and Anna Gray say they will not invite Coleman's ex-wife, Shannon Price, and his parents, from whom he was estranged for years. Among the 15 to 20 people invited to the service will be Coleman's  "Diff'rent Strokes" co-star Todd Bridges. Emmons and Gray reportedly felt it would be inappropriate to invite the Colemans or Price to what is expected to be an evening of "telling fun stories."
