We get a ton of publicity information heralding the holiday season on television, but nothing has caught my eye like a clever press release from Syfy that has me interested enough to tune in on Saturday night.
"To kick off the holiday season, we're premiering the newest Syfy Saturday Original Movie 'Triassic Attack' during our Thanksgiving weekend celebration," the network proclaims with good-natured holiday cheer in its release. Brilliant.
Premiering at 9 p.m. Saturday, "Triassic Attack," directed by Colin Ferguson, the actor from "Eureka," takes place at a kitschy roadside museum where three dinosaur fossils are brought to life. Raoul Trujillo ("True Blood," "Tin Man") and Steven Brand ("Scorpion King") star.
Get out some eggnog and enjoy this new holiday treasure.
