Daily links: Charlie Sheen's pre-rehab binge included $30,000 check to porn star

Charlie-sheen-240 Charlie Sheen may be the only person around who doesn't think he belongs in rehab. Among those who do are Kacey Jordan, the porn star who described the events at his 36-hour alcohol and cocaine binge that led to his rehab trip on Saturday. "He said, 'I bet I can out-drink you,'" Jordan told E! News in an interview set to air today. Jordan says after hours of drug and alcohol consumption, Sheen had "quick" sex with her, then wrote her a check for $30,000 to become part of the "porn family" he wanted to house in a neighboring mansion. Jordan, who said she was afraid to leave Sheen alone, nonetheless took the check right to the bank, where officials called both Sheen and a business associate to make sure it should be honored. Jordan, says Sheen told her he has "porcelain teeth" after drug use caused too much wear and tear on his real teeth. She describes Sheen as "a very nice and polite guy," although she says he did lose his temper around 3 a.m. Thursday when one of his other female guests sideswiped his parked car while leaving the house. "He was punching walls" and "yelling in outrage," Jordan says, until the other driver calmed him down.

Sheen reportedly checked into rehab under pressure from officials of CBS, which airs his hit show "Two and a Half Men," and his father, Martin Sheen, who kept vigil at the L.A. hospital where his son was treated for a hiatal hernia, which can cause extreme stomach pain. "He wanted Charlie to go to rehab and told him so. And he didn't stop there. Martin insisted." In a statement, CBS said the show should go on hiatus until Sheen could return, and added, "We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being and support his decision." But the day before Sheen checked into rehab, he sent a text message to RadarOnline's Senior Executive Editor Dylan Howard. "I'm fine," Sheen reportedly texted. "People don't seem to get it.... Guy can't have a great time and do his job also?" There were widespread reports that Sheen entered rehab Friday, but it actually happened Saturday. His manager, Mark Burg, told People, "He was bombarded by every rehab in the country looking for his wallet and publicity, and he has been deciding where to go. With the help of friends and family, he finally agreed to go and went into rehab on Saturday."

Here's an odd idea: Sheen's estranged uncle Joe Estevez has offered to step in and star on "Two and a Half Men" until his nephew is ready to work again. Joe Estavez's manager, Ed Meyer, shoots a letter out to the big heads of the CBS sitcom saying, "just a wild thought. .. How about a test episode of 'Two and a Half Men,' where Joe [Estevez] comes to housesit while Charlie is on 'vacation'. Your writers could have a ball with this." Meyer also calls Estevez "by far the funniest of the Sheen and Estevez clan."

Janine lindemulder mug shot Janine Lindemulder, ex-wife of Jesse James, spent the night in jail in Austin, Texas, after being arrested on three warrants for harassment. She got in trouble when James gave police a series of harassing, abusive and bad" emails and voice messages she had left him. James claims Lindemulder places "chronic harassing telephone calls [at] all hours of the day and night." He says he has received 300 calls just since he moved to Texas. Her attorney says Lindemulder made the calls "out of frustration because he did not let her see or speak to her daughter for months." Lindemulder posted bail and left jail on Sunday, and is due back in court on March 11.

David Arquette checked out of rehab on Sunday, nearly a month after he entered treatment for "alcohol and other issues." His rep says, "He has competed his treatment and has left." Another source says the actor is "in great spirits. He's feeling good and he's ready to move forward." When he went into rehab, wife Courteney Cox, who separated from Arquette back in October, said, "I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life.  I love and support him."

Also out of rehab is Demi Lovato, 18, who finished her course of treament for "emotional and physical issues" and is back home in L.A., a source close to Lovato says. "She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment,” the source says. "For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon." While her future professional plans remain unclear, "Demi will continue to focus first and foremost on her well-being." Lovato checked into a treatment center in late October after punching Alex Welch, a dancer on the Jonas Brothers World Tour. Earlier this month, the singer posted a message to fans on her Facebook page. "I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time," Lovato wrote. "Thank you for standing beside me through it all."
