Who will win boys semis at JCC?
Jamestown Community College hosts the Section VI semifinals in Class C-1, C-2 and D this week.
On Monday, it's Class D's turn as No. 3 seed Brocton (15-4) takes on No. 2 Clymer (19-2) at 6 p.m., followed by No. 5 Pine Valley (13-8) meeting No. 1 West Valley (17-4) at 7:45.
Tuesday's C-2 semifinals feature two teams who have been ranked in The News small school poll all season: Maple Grove and Randolph. No. 6 Frewsburg (8-13) meets No. 2 Maple Grove (19-2) at 6 p.m., followed by No. 4 Portville (12-9) playing top-seeded Randolph (18-2) at 7:45.
The C-1 semis are Wednesday with a nice mix of teams. No. 3 Holland (11-10) of ECIC IV plays No. 2 Salamanca (14-7) of CCIAC II at 6; No. 5 Silver Creek (10-11) of CCIAC II meets top-seeded Allegany-Limestone (13-8) of CCIAC I at 7:45.
The three classes hold their championship games Friday at JCC: D at 6 p.m., C-2 at 7:45 and the late show has the C-1 game scheduled for 9.

My vote? In C-2 I think most would agree that anything but a third chapter of Randolph-Maple Grove would be an upset. In C-1 we'll go with top-seeded Allegany-Limestone, and in a very, very close game we'll take a stab at the lower seed and Holland. In D, we'll take Clymer to move on and we'll pick Pine Valley to knock off West Valley since the Panthers won two games between the schools early on.
There are more previews and polls to come: We'll post polls on all the Section VI boys semifinals and finals, the girls championship games and both Monsignor Martin final fours.
