Live chat scheduled for ... ???

We'll be having a live chat again this week ... but we're trying to figure out when to have it.

We'd like to have a regular time, and one that would be convenient for high school players, coaches and fans.

The 7 p.m. Wednesday time worked well during the fall, but most fall season games and practices were over by then. In basketball season, games might keep people in gyms until after 9 p.m. And there's a totally selfish reason at work here, too -- I want to be checking out games until after 9 p.m. too! Having a chat during the school day or right after (during practice) seems like it would be contrary to the schedule of student-athletes and coaches.

We'll throw up this shot: How about 10 p.m. Wednesdays? I just checked the boys hoops schedule, and there aren't too many busy Wednesdays. And actually, that time of night has seemed to be a pretty popular one for comments. And there are some good games on those Wednesdays so it could prove to be a true postgame chat.

Let us know what you think. Is 10 p.m. too late? If it's not too late for Law & Order and CSI, it can't be too late for Prep Talk, can it?

We'll announce the time on here ASAP -- it will also be in Tuesday's Scholastic Spotlight.

Sounds good Keith...that is, if you can work it around your budding television career. Nice job on the roundup, but I'm still waiting for a definitive Keith McShea game winner prediction.

Book it.
