In a topsy-turvy season, no league has been as competitive as the Monsignor Martin Association.
How much? The four teams seeded third through sixth all finished 7-7. One of those is St. Joe's, which handed Nichols its only loss of the regular season on Wednesday then were upended by fellow 7-7 Bishop Timon-St. Jude two nights later.
The Manhattan Cup tips off the postseason on Monday with quarterfinals, then holds its version of the final four Saturday and Sunday in what should be an electric Koessler Athletic Center at Canisius College.
