PAL/ACE Showcase Thursday; rosters announced

The rosters have been determined for Thursday's Niagara PAL/ACE Showcase games at Niagara Falls High School.

The event went to a unique and cool format last year, having two games divided along grades. The first game takes place at 6 p.m. and features sophomores and freshmen; the second game follows and includes juniors and seniors.

Admission is $5 and proceeds benefit the Niagara PAL Christmas program for inner city youth.

Here are the rosters for the games:

East vs. West (9th-10th grade) -- 6 p.m.

EAST: Phil Stasiak-10 (Williamsville South), Reggie Burke-10 (Sweet Home), Jordon Street-10 (Niagara Falls), Jordan Johnson-9 (Sweet Home), Jesse Lalka-9 (Tonawanda), Aaron Nevins-10 (Canisius), Johnathan Safir-10 (Wmsv. North), Jamaal Carter-9 (City Honors). Coach: Kyle Husband (Canisius).

WEST: Kenny Stokes-10 (Niagara Falls), Marc Morreale-10 (Lew-Port), Aime Mukendi-10 (Sweet Home), J.J. Harrington-10 (Lancaster), David Hill-10 (Clarence), Tyler Funk-10 (Clarence), Brennan Moxham-10 (Wilson), Stan Wier-9 (East Aurora), Blair Estarfaa-10 (Maryvale). Coach: Mike Mennenga (Nichols assistant).

North-South (11th-12th grade), following first game

NORTH: Keron Briggs-11 (Sweet Home), Blair Helton-11 (Canisius), Kelvin Agee-12 (Niagara Falls), Kenyon Edwards-12 (Grover Cleveland), Anthony Battaglia-12 (Depew), Brooks Estarfaa-12 (Maryvale), Aaron Davis-11 (North Tonawanda), Conner Vandergriff-11 (Nichols), Justin Stokes-11 (Middle College), Darren Cleveland-12 (Lackawanna). Coaches: Carlos Bradberry (Niagara Falls assistant) and Paul Schintzius (Sweet Home).

SOUTH: Alex Barth-12 (Williamsville North), Marc Coppola-11 (Williamsville South), Davon Marshall-11 (Niagara Falls), Dallas Gary-12 (East), J.C. Tretter-12 (Akron), Rob Seyler-12 (Lew-Port), Tyler Stevens-12 (Depew), Jonas Stalyga-11 (Grand Island), D.J.
