A lot of times we can't fit in every little nugget about a story in the paper. I really tried to get the following quote in today's Prep Talk column about Frontier's Grant Wrap, but ran out of space.
Wrap is so eager to get back to action, he has apologized in advance to his future St. John Fisher teammates -- about practices that will be happening several months from now.
"As soon as chains leave from my neck, I apologize to the big guys at Fisher, I just can’t control myself," he said. "I’m sorry to everyone – it's nothing personal. I’m going to be crazy for a while."
A Monday visit to his surgeon had the doctor tell Wrap his knee "is solid as a rock."
Wrap's rehab will continue with his rehabilitation for the next three months before the next decision point for full-contact basketball. But he has been cleared to run, play baseball, non-contact basketball and golf and continue with his other rehab activities.
If you are scoring at home, that next decision point in August will mark 13 months that Wrap has been working on his comeback.
The college signings keep rolling in; we'll continue to have updates here and on our list.
