Saturday is going to be quite the day (and night) for lacrosse in Hamburg.
Four Hamburg vs. Frontier matchups will be held at Frontier, starting with the junior varsity games at 1 p.m. (girls) and 2 p.m. (boys).
At 5 p.m., its the girls varsity game as defending Class B champion Hamburg takes on the Falcons.
At 7 p.m., one of the top matchups of the boys lacrosse regular season will take place.
Hamburg is the defending Class B champion and advanced to last year's state final four; the Bulldogs (11-2) are ranked 10th in the state in Class B. Hamburg has lost only to Section V (Rochester area) superpowers Canandaigua and Penn Yan. Check out Hamburg's game-by-game at laxpower.com.
Frontier is 10-5, but the Falcons have gone 10-2 after losing three excruciatingly tough season openers (Pittsford, Amherst, Orchard Park). Frontier has also won nine of its last 10 games -- and the only loss in that stretch came in overtime to Pennsylvania's Mount Lebanon. Check out Frontier's game-by-game at laxpower.com.
Hamburg won last year's matchup, 13-8. Check out more on the game at the Section VI lacrosse site.
