Class A baseball: Grand Island 10, Albion 3

Grand Island won its first Section VI Class A baseball championship in nearly 30 years by pounding out 12 hits and scoring runs in every inning except the first in a 10-3 victory over Albion on Thursday night at Coca-Cola Field.

Grand Island’s last sectional championship was 1980 and this was the school’s first appearance in the title game since 1985.
