Dissed,
Instead of whinning and crying, put a call into one of the coaches. You can even stop by at the practice facilities. I'm sure either team would love to have a blue-chipper on their side.

Really Dissed, instead of repeating the same line why don't you state who you are talking about. Who was not invited that was all state?

All State, Not Invited, Fact.

Dissed,
(1) Boomer Brock, Iroquois OL is on the roster of the South squad - check your facts. I'm pretty sure RB Brandon Murie was invited, but since I know he's trying to walk on to the UB football team, I think his priorities lie there (rightly so).
(2) I'm speculating here, but I think a lot of the S. Tier kids probably opt to play in the Don Raab Big-30 All-Star Classic that's played around the same time as the Lions game. It's held in Bradford PA on a late July Sat night - I usually listen to the game on the radio while vacationing at Allegany State Park. The game is played by NY all-stars (Catt & Chaut counties) vs. Northern PA all-stars. I recall some Pioneer HS players participating either last year or the year before. It's probably a lot easier for them to get to practice spots in the S. Tier than to have to travel to Erie Co.

I think that there is concern with the game being so close to camp that players could be risking football $. I wonder if there would be greater attendance if it was a Section 6 Vs Section 5 All Star Game earlier in the summer????

DeShannaro, and Fullen will be a Seniors, so they were not invited. I know that Hoppy and Nuessle were invited. Hoppy chose not to take part. Nuessle played in the NJ-NE All Star game and declined. I believe the coaches nominate players that will attend.

Some of the players decline as it is 1-2 weeks from the beginning of camp for D-1. If they were All State they were invited. Will this game be televised on T-W

Most of the players that are moving on to college ball will not play in this game. Colleges don't want to take a chance of injury, so they either discourage or prohibiting a player all together. So, you might feel that a certain player was disrespected, the player probably isn't allowed to play!

More than likely your coach nominates them.

A Great Event for charity I am sure.
Just wondering though, how does someone make All New York State and not get invited?
Anyone know the selection process?
