What's the best game of Opening Night?

Opening Night is almost here.

Let us know why you voted the way you did in the comments section below.

I think I'm going with Randolph at Maple Grove. Seems to have all the makings: great small-school, big-time rivalry, two great programs, two tough teams which should have a great battle, and the pageantry of the opening night of a state champion. I just wish I had a jet that could zip me there and back in time to be part of the opening-night, phones-ringing-off-the-hook zaniness in the office.

Orchard Park and Lockport has the most starpower between its state title team and Lockport's David Fluellen. Iroquois and East Aurora's rivalry is right up there with Maple Grove-Randolph. North Tonawanda at Jamestown might be a matchup of the two schools with the most vaunted football tradition.  Canisius-Aquinas is a super nonleague regional matchup, St. Mary's-Bath is a super nonleague regional private-public matchup. Cassadaga Valley and Fredonia will provide some good info on the Hillbillies. The atmosphere at Bishop Timon-St. Jude's Fitzpatrick Field at Tifft Farms is always something special, and there should be a buzz in the air as "small school" Cardinal O'Hara tries to win on Timon's turf.

Enough! Would kickoff get here already?

See you tonight ...
