According to Section VI football chairman Chuck Funke, the three-way tie in Class AA North between Lockport, Niagara Falls and Williamsville North -- who all finished 3-2 and were 1-1 against each other -- was broken by point differential between common opponents.
Lockport's differential was the best, giving it second place.
That left North and Falls, and the head-to-head tiebreaker (North beat Falls) made North the No. 3 seed and left Falls fourth.
Quite a day for Falls -- come up with a nice win over Lockport but fall to No. 4 in the seeding. Ouch.
