Monday homeroom quarterback: Week 10

What a weekend, huh?

We have five teams headed to Rochester, four facing off in Monsignor Martin championships at The Ralph Thursday and four fighting for Thanksgiving Day berths at All High Stadium Saturday.

There's plenty of information and discussion coming up this week about all of that, but first -- a look back at quite the weekend of football.

In case you missed it, take a look at a tremendous audio slide show from the weekend at The Ralph by News all-star photographer Mark Mulville.

Some of those same shots are up on our Prep Talk Live page, where you can get a nice, biiiiig look at them.

And here's a guide to how it all went down:

* The basics are at the scoreboards from Saturday and Friday.

* North Tonawanda wins AA: Game story and live blog.

* Sweet Home wins Class A: Game story and live blog.

* Cheektowaga wins Class B: Game story and live blog.

* Southwestern wins Class C: Game story and live blog.

* Randolph wins Class D: Game story and live blog.

* Saturday's football roundup has details on the Monsignor Martin semifinal wins and Bennett's playoff berth -- and a great picture of an airborne Nick Hall of St. Joe's taken by The News' all-star photographer James P. McCoy.

* Friday's High School Extra details Lafayette's big win.

Much more to come this week ... including more Prep Talk Live coverage of this weekend's regional games from Rochester.

It's too bad UB isn't being used again this year for the far-west regional games -- it was an awesome venue and it was enjoyble to get to play at four different stadiums on the road to the Dome last year

Any of our reps winning this week in Rochester will take on the winner of III vs IV. Section IV Binghamton is the host, all but AA will be at Ty Cobb Stadium. I think fans get ripped out of watching a game as the AA game at another location overlaps the games at Ty Cobb. For scouting and info purposes:

Regional’s: Section 3 vs. Section 4 @ Ty Cobb Stadium

Friday, November 13th

Class D: 6:00 p.m. - Westmoreland vs. Groton

Saturday, November 14th

Class A: 12:00 p.m. - Whitesboro vs. Corning East

Class C: 3:00 p.m. - General Brown vs. Chenango Forks

Class B: 6:00 p.m. Westhill vs. Johnson City

Saturday, November 14th @ Vestal High School

Class AA: 5:00 p.m. - Baldwinsville vs. Union Endicott
