Day-Day's No. 4 is retired, and he makes a promise (with video)

Part of my running around Wednesday night included being at Sweet Home for a nice halftime ceremony for Deshanaro "Day-Day" Morris, whose No. 4 was retired by the school.

I wrote about Day-Day around Christmastime.

Here's a before and after of the unveiling (don't ask me why I didn't have the video going at this point) by football coach John Faller (to left of frame):

Day-Day offers thanks in a nice speech, and makes a promise about a certain ceremony to be held at Sweet Home in June:

Here's a cool shot of the championship rings owned by Pat McMahon, Morris and Josh Perez.

And this back-of-a-T-shirt sums it up well ...

Whoever designed this should get a championship, too. Nice job. (Keith McShea/Buffalo News)
