The 38 points by Raeann Stilwell is a Class B Federation record.

The previous mark of 37 was set by Sue Harnett of Staten Island's Moore Catholic in 1985.

The AA record is also 38, set by Rutgers star Epiphany Prince while at PSAL champ Murry Bergtraum in 2004.

The overall record is 43 by Michelle Blot of Section II (Albany area) and public school champion Colonie in Class A in 2001.

Some more numbers, and they are spectacular for Stilwell.

She hit 13 of 24 shots (9 of 15 shots from two-point range), a remarkable percentage for a guard (she's a 5-3 junior). She hit 4 of 9 from three-point range. She was 8 for 9 from the line. Plus five rebounds, seven steals and an assist.

I just went through the live blog in an effort to get the basket-by-basket Stilwell report: I've got her for nine points in the first quarter (on three threes), 12 in the second for 21 at halftime), 10 in the third and seven in the fourth.

Senior Stephanie Simmeth had eight rebounds, junior Victoria Fontana had four points, six rebounds, four steals and four assists. Senior Kelsey Rademacher and sophomore Tara Barnhardt each had two steals.

St. Mary's will play public high school champion Irvington of Westchester County in Saturday's 10:30 a.m. final. Irvington was outstanding in beating independent representative Long Island Lutheran, 70-42.

Irvington used full-court pressure to take a 25-4 lead after one quarter and was up, 40-18, at halftime. The Bulldogs (25-1) had a 57-32 lead after three quarters.

The Bulldogs had four players at least 12 points, led by 5-10 senior Tara Gabelman (23 points on 10-of-15 shooting, nine rebounds). Five-foot-4 senior Lisa Bucci had 12 points and four steals; 5-3 senior point guard Riley Harrington had 12 points and 5-11 freshman Alexis Martins had 12 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks.

Irvington beat Section V champion Nazareth in the state public school semifinals by an 80-70 score; Nazareth beat Section VI champion Olean, 55-36, in the Far West Regionals.
