Western New York's four basketball state champions have their plaques and medals, and they'll see those state championship banners in their gyms next season.
Next week is the really cool part: their state championship poster page in The Buffalo News. :-)
Here's the schedule, with the tributes to the champs leading up to a special edition at the end of the week:
Monday: Clymer girls basketball
Tuesday: Maple Grove boys basketball
Thursday: OTC Middle College boys basketball
Friday: Nichols boys basketball
Saturday: All-Western New York issue (boys and girls)
(While we're talking scheduling, the Scholastic Spotlight will spring back into action three days later on Tuesday, April 13).
As was the case with the six teams who survived sectional and state playoff tournaments to win state titles in the fall, buffalonews.com/champions is the online headquarters for the state titlists.
