Canisius takes Georgetown Cup title

A two-run double by Nick Russo in the fifth inning helped give Canisius a 3-1 win over St. Francis and the Georgetown Cup title in Tuesday high school baseball action at Coca-Cola Field.

It's the second straight baseball championship for Canisius. The Crusaders last won back-to-back titles when they took three in a row from 2000-02 while the program holds the record with four straight Georgetown Cup titles from 1994-97.
