What a wonderfully warm summer day today, huh?
By the weekend, it's officially fall -- because high school football kicks off.
There's plenty going on this week in the paper and online. Here are the x's and o's:
Tuesday: Next week it will be time for our weekly "How The News Voted" post -- we get things started with "How The News Would Have Voted" as we run down our preseason top 10s.
Also, our Countdown to Friday Night Lights continues with Class AA.
Wednesday: I'll hold our the first weekly live chat of the season here at 8 p.m.
Countdown to Friday Night Lights concludes with the Monsignor Martin Association.
Thursday: Our season preview issue includes capsules and schedules for all 87 teams, a look at the Buffalo Public Schools' entry into Section VI, and a fact-filled overview of the new season (along with a really cool cover).
Friday: Game time. We'll have live updates on the Prep Talk blog, scores posted as we receive them while PrepTalkTV will deliver video highlights from top games and an overview of the action.
Saturday: Game time, take two. More on-site and scoring updates during the afternoon and another dose of highlights and insights on PrepTalkTV.
If you haven't checked out our new high school home page, take a look -- it's a much-improved, better-organized page with all of our stories, links to this blog and polls (the first one is on how many Section VI teams you think will win a state title).
