Monday homeroom quarterback: Week Five

Five weeks down, two to go in the Section VI season, and the further we get in the schedule, it seems the bigger the surprises become.

Be sure to review our weekend coverage before voting in the poll below (everything is at the high school home page -- the poll is also posted there as well).

Friday's roundup includes the details on Williamsville South's Joe Licata becoming Western New York's leader in career touchdown passes. Saturday we had a stories on wins by St. Joe's and Sweet Home (after I went from one game to the other at halftime) and a roundup featuring big wins by the other two Williamsville schools. Check out the history of the St. Joe's-Canisius rivalry here. All the scores are here for Friday and Saturday

On the blog, scroll down to see videos from five different sites in the Friday Night Live post as well as my half-and-half journey during Saturday Afternoon Live. The Friday post includes two angles on Licata's record-breaking touchdown.

And of course, there's the Week Four wrapup edition of PrepTalkTV. The eventful Friday night also made for separate videos of: Licata's record-breaker, an expanded look at Williamsville South at Iroquois and Joe Popiolkowski's trip to Orchard Park at Riverside included a chat with Frontiers alum and current NFLer Mike Williams.

Also check out some quality input from regulars of Prep Talk Nation in the comments section on the PrepTalkTV post.

For a breakdown of what happened to last week's members of the top 10 polls, check out How They Fared.

Let us know what you thought of the weekend in the comments section below.
