Week Nine walkthrough: The Ralph is one step away

We're down to 20 Section VI teams for 10 spots at The Ralph for next week's Section VI championships.

With nine of the 10 semifinals held on Friday, and six of them kicking off at 7 p.m., it's going to be a busy night. Here's the full schedule.

I'll be headed to Alden for its Class B game with Burgard. I'll be able to monitor the Intense Milk Game of the Week by the WJJL crew through this link as Fredonia and Grover Cleveland meet at All High Stadium (I'm told it will be an Internet-only broadcast).

We will have PrepTalkTV members at many of the games for our Friday Night Live blog, but we can't be everywhere. If you are interested in supplying updates from a game, email me with your name and cell number at kmcshea@buffnews.com and I'll get in touch (or you can just email me from your fancy phone during the game). We don't need every play or even every possession -- just scoring plays and the score after each quarter, along with anything else that would cause you to blow up a fellow fan's phone with a text.

I'll definitely give you a shoutout here for helping pass the word along.

now it's voting time: We've added two new polls about the weekend to the high school home page -- they are listed below the polls we've repeated from earlier in the week about who will win each class (check out the race between Alden and Lackawanna in Class B!)
