Check out video interviews with all coaches and players from all 10 teams which will be playing for Section VI football championships at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Thursday and Friday. We spent time with the finalists during Tuesday's Media Day at The Ralph.
Dick Gallagher addressed the coaches and players Tuesday morning.
"You need to make sure that you follow the guidelines of sportsmanship that Section VI requires. There have been cases in recent years where a player was going to get MVP, but did something stupid in the last few minutes of the game and knocked him out of the competition. ... Just play the game the way it should be played."
Section VI chairman Ken Stoldt (at left) also addressed the finalists, going over logistical details for the championships. He closed with:
"Section VI has really set a standard by winning eight of the last 10 state championships -- and we want to keep that going, and we want to do it with class."
