The fall season isn't over yet -- especially for nine teams as well as the area's best swimmers and cross country runners.
Nine teams are still playing, with Fredonia football hoping to advance to next weekend's state finals at Syracuse's Carrier Dome and eight other teams hitting the road this week to try and return home with state championships.
The state meet in girls swimming is at Erie Community College's Flickinger Center this weekend while the East Aurora boys and girls cross country teams (already state champions) head to the state Federation meet downstate.
