Hamburg wins Class A baseball title

A report from Mary Jo Monnin in Niagara Falls:

Hamburg first baseman Tyler Herr led off the seventh inning with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly as the Bulldogs pulled out a 5-4 win over Albion in the Section VI Class A overall game played Wednesday before 200 at Sal Maglie Stadium.

Herr sent the chest-high, first-pitch fastball to the wall in leftcenter. One out later, cleanup hitter Michael Kerr hit a sacrifice fly to plate Herr.

Hamburg (15-9) advances to the Far West Regionals on Monday at 7 p.m. against a representative from Section V.
