Rosters set for 36th annual Kensington Lions all-star football game

The rosters have been set for the 36th All-Star High School Football Classic, which will take place Wednesday, July 27 at 7 p.m. at Depew. 

The game, which features seniors from the Class of 2011, is presented by the Kensington Lions Club and Adpro Sports. 

Tickets are available from all players and coaches are and also available at the gate (adults $7; $2 children 12-under).

The game, founded in 1976 by Kensington Lions Harry R. Chambers, Gene Zinni and Milt Dickerson, has benefited Kids Escaping Drugs since 2001. The game has donated $95,000 to KED over that time.

The teams practice at 6 p.m. weeknights and 10 a.m. Saturdays through July 26; the practices are open to the public. The North practices at Sweet Home; the South at Hamburg Middle School on Division St.

A banquet for all playres in the game will be hosted by the Kensington Lions Club at the Hearthstone Manor on Tuesday night.
