Holland's Candis Kapuscinski has collected plenty of honors during her high school career.
And it appears she has quite a fan club, too.
The basketball guard, who will be a senior this fall, was named highschoolsports.net's Ultimate Athlete. The site featured several players' highlight videos, and Kapuscinski topped the election with 795,333 votes (!).
Kapuscinski (21.9 points per game) became the Dutchwomen's all-time leading scorer and surpassed the 1,000-point mark during her junior season to earn a spot on the All-Western New York fourth team. She was not only the team MVP in hoops but also earned the same award in soccer and softball as she earned Holland Female Athlete of the Year honors. She is also ranked fourth in her class.
You can check out her winning video (old school Heart fans will appreciate the soundtrack) as well as a USA Today story announcing the honor.
