Holland girls soccer loses appeal to state

The Holland girls soccer team's season is officially over.

The school lost its appeal to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association this afternoon, said Holland principal James Biryla.

The team played one too many games this year, resulting in it being disqualified from the sectional championships.

School administration and the soccer staff were meeting with players and their families at this writing.

I will have more in my Prep Talk column in Wednesday's paper.
