Week Six kicks off with a trip to Jamestown, Prep Talk Live & your #preptalkscores

Week Six of high school football kicks off tonight, and the Friday night lineup is highlighted by a traditional Class AA South clash of No. 1 large school Orchard Park at No. 8 Jamestown. I wrote a preview of the game in today's paper.

I'm headed down to Strider Field and will have live play-by-play updates from that one. Lauren Mariacher and our staff of video/photographers will be at additional games, including the first kickoff of the week as 4-1 Nichols hosts University Prep of Rochester at 4:30 p.m.

We encourage you to tweet updates with the hashtag #preptalkscores attached -- that's the quickest way for us to share the information through the live chat (tweets with that hashtag will automatically show up). You can also certainly still tweet those updates to @bufnewspreptalk and @KeithMcSheaBN.

For a list of tonight's games, check out our high school scoreboard page, which is getting back up to speed. It has been going through some growing pains -- and still has some to get through -- due to our transition to a redesigned web site. Check out the standings link on the right side; we have some bugs to work out but we're excited about that (see football here). We appreciate your patience with us during this major switchover.

We'll be back with another live blog to monitor Saturday's games, including St. Joe's at Lockport at 2.

On Sunday night at 8:30 p.m., Lauren Mariacher and I will bring you our third episode of PrepTalkTV Sunday, our live 30-minute wrapup show here at buffalonews.com. PrepTalkTV Sunday follows the 8 p.m. broadcast of our Bills wrapup show, [BN]TheHuddle; Lauren and I will be part of that as well.
