Georgetown Cup opener, softball games postponed

By Keith McShea

Today's scheduled opener of the Monsignor Martin Association's Georgetown Cup championship series in baseball has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Game One of the three-game series between St. Joe's and Canisius will be played Wednesday at 4 p.m., with Game Two scheduled for Thursday at 4; both games are at Coca-Cola Field. A time and location is to be determined if there is a third and deciding game.

In Section VI softball, the Class AA semifinal of Niagara-Wheatfield at Clarence has been postponed to Wednesday; as has the Class C semifinal of Cattaraugus/Little Valley at Cassadaga Valley.
