PrepTalkTV wants you: We're holding a #PrepTalkCastingCall

By Keith McShea

This year, high school students have a chance to be part of PrepTalkTV.

If you’d like to co-host PrepTalkTV with me, make a one-minute video online in which you "broadcast" your reasons for wanting to be part of the show. We're looking for enthusiasm and the ability to speak into a camera without falling over (you should have seen me when I started).

Then share the video with me via Twitter at @KeithMcSheaBN. We’re hoping to pick a winner from a different school each week. The earlier you make a video, the better chance you have of being on the show.

Those who are selected to co-host PrepTalkTV will help me run down the past week in high school sports, especailly football, while we look ahead to the big football games on the weekend. You'll also help interview whoever our weekly guests are.

If you are considering pursuing something in the way of journalism as a career, we encourage you to apply (if I can do it, anyone can do it :-) ). The same goes for those who are part of a video program through your school or those who write for your school newspaper. However, no credentials are necessary. If you are interested in sports and being part of the show, make a video and send it in. All Western New York high school students are eligible.

High school teachers and advisors are welcome to nominate students as well.

Email me at with any questions.
