Week One Friday: Football season kicks off, and so does #PrepTalkLive

By Keith McShea

Here. We. Go.

Tonight the 2013 high school football season kicks off throughout Western New York.

I'll have live play-by-play updates from Canisius' opener at McQuaid in the blog below, and I'll have scoring and end-of-quarter updates via Twitter.

While I'll be in Rochester to see several prognosticators' pick as the top team in the state open its season at 7:30 p.m. (#CANvMCQ), we'll have News reporters and photojournalists out at these 7 p.m. games: Sweet Home at Iroquois (#SHvIRO), Clarence at Frontier (#CLARvFRO), Williamsville North vs. McKinley at Riverside (#WNvMCK) and Grand Island at Hamburg (#GIvHAM).

We encourage you to tweet updates with the hashtag #preptalklive attached -- that's the quickest way for us to share the information through the live chat (tweets with that hashtag will automatically show up -- our old friend #preptalkscores will work as well). You can also certainly still tweet any updates at @bufnewspreptalk and @KeithMcSheaBN as well.

Our high school scoreboard page will have the final scores and details as soon as they are reported to us.

We'll be back with more #PrepTalkLive coverage of Saturday's action.
