Week Nine Friday with #PrepTalkLive: Jamestown, Frontier, Will North, Alden, Depew, Randolph & Maple Grove to The Ralph

By Keith McShea

The longer the season, the fewer the games, and the more importance they hold.

There are seven Section VI semifinals tonight which will determine which schools will be represented at The Ralph for next weekends's championship games.

Our team coverage includes me heading to the home of No. 1 small school and three-time defending Class B champion Alden, which hosts No. 5 Burgard, the Buffalo Public Schools' last shot at a first-ever trip to The Ralph, at 7 p.m. I'll have play-by-play from the game (#BURGvALD) along with scoring and end-of-quarter updates via Twitter.

We'll also have News correspondents and photojournalists at other semifinals like the great pair of Class AA games of Kenmore West at Jamestown (#KWvJAM at 7) and Orchard Park at Frontier (#OPvFRO at 7:30). Here's this weekend's full lineup.

We encourage you to tweet updates or comments with the hashtag #preptalklive attached -- that's the quickest way for us to share the information through the live chat (tweets with that hashtag will automatically show up -- our old friend #preptalkscores will work as well). Live chat comments are certainly welcome too.

Our high school scoreboard page will have the final scores and details as soon as they are reported to us.

Be sure to click on all the boxes in the live blog -- we have the scoreboards, but next week's schedule is in there along with some other links.

We'll be back tomorrow afternoon with more #PrepTalkLive coverage as I'll be at the 82nd edition of St. Joe's at Canisius at 1 p.m. at its Stranksy Complex in West Seneca.
