#PrepTalkLive on a busy boys basketball Thursday

By Keith McShea

Today features a significant lineup in boys (37 games) and girls (13) basketball, bowling (the Section VI boys championships) and boys hockey (Federation Division II quarterfinals).

Among those many boys basketball games are: East at McKinley at 6 p.m. in Yale Cup I, Bishop Timon-St. Jude at St. Joe's in Monsignor Martin Association action at 7, Dunkirk at Olean at 7:30 in the Huskies' regular season finale; in ECIC I games at 7:30, the home teams will try to keep the three-way tie atop the division in these three games: Lancaster at Clarence, Orchard Park at Williamsville North and West Seneca West at Jamestown; Iroquois aims to sew up ECIC II at home against Williamsville South at 6:30; Randolph is at Salamanca at 7:30 in a major CCAA battle; Olmsted is at I-Prep/Grover at 6 to decide the Yale Cup II crown. In competitive ECIC III action at 7:30, Amherst is at Depew while Cheektowaga is at East Aurora.

As always, we're looking forward to your #PrepTalkLive updates on Twitter. I'm not working tonight but I've set it up ahead of time to display your updates.

Our scoreboard page has a schedule of today's games -- that same page will have box scores as games are reported to us throughout the evening.

Keep track of the action and contribute to it as well in the blog below -- the easiest way to do that is to tweet updates with the #PrepTalkLive hashtag.

We will set up blogs like this throughout the winter, especially on busy nights -- we'll monitor games via not only our tweets, but those of high school sports fans and followers who use the #preptalklive hashtag.

While tonight is a busy basketball night, we want tweets from all varsity sports every day of the week. The #preptalklive blog (and hashtag) -- as it was during football season -- is the place to check out scores from all over Western New York.
