Mike Florio was kind enough to invite me onto his "Pro Football Talk Live" show to discuss the Buffalo Bills today.
Among the topics covered were Ryan Fitzpatrick's impact on the Bills' 2012 fortunes, the addition of quarterbacks coach David Lee, Brad Smith and the Wildcat, how the No. 2 receiver role will be handled and what the revamped defense might look like.
My segment was done before the supplemental draft had started. So you can hear my prediction that it wouldn't matter if the Bills would be interested in taking former Baylor receiver Josh Gordon because someone was going to bid higher than the third-round evaluation most analysts had given him.
Florio and I also talked about the playoffs. My concern for the Bills' hopes stems from a talented AFC North that likely will send either the Baltimore Ravens or Pittsburgh Steelers as one wild card and possibly the Cincinnati Bengals as the other wild card. Additional factors could be the New York Jets, the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos and a team or two that always seem to come out of nowhere to compete for a spot.
