Bills add T.J. Heath, LaMark Brown to practice squad

By Jay Skurski

The Buffalo Bills filled two more spots on their practice squad this afternoon, adding cornerback T.J. Heath and tight end LaMark Brown.

Buffalo now has seven members on its practice squad, with one opening left.

Heath played in five games with the Jacksonville Jaguars last year after signing as a rookie undrafted free agent. The 6-foot-1, 179-pounder was released by the Cincinnati Bengals on Aug. 31. He played in college at Jacksonville State, where he recorded 145 tackles and 10 interceptions and started for three seasons.

Brown signed as a rookie undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons, but was released Aug. 31. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder started his college career at Kansas State, then played as a senior for Minnesota State-Mankato, where he caught 31 passes for 405 yards and five touchdowns.

Brown was originally recruited to K-State by Ron Prince, but when he was fired Bill Snyder took over. Brown asked for a transfer -- to a Division II school -- but Snyder amazingly wouldn't allow it.
