The predictions are coming fast and furious.
The Buffalo Bills are not a popular pick to make the playoffs. Sports Illustrated's Peter King picks them to make it as the second wild-card team. But of nine SI prognosticators on the season-preview web page, only three (counting King) pick the Bills to make the playoffs. (The other two are Don Banks and Tom Mantzouranis).
ESPN polls Bill Polian, Herm Edwards and Mel Kiper. Only Kiper picks the Bills to get a wild card. Polian picks Chargers and Bengals. Edwards picks Broncos and Ravens for the wild cards. ESPN.com polls 16 of its writers. The Bills do a bit better in this survey. Nine of 16 pick them for a wild card, including senior writers John Clayton and Adam Schefter.
On Foxsports.com, three of seven writers pick the Bills for a wild card. Profootballtalk.com has five pickers. Only one takes the Bills. On NFL.com, three of eight experts pick the Bills.
All of this and $1.55, of course, will get you your favorite small coffee.
The Buffalo News comes out with its picks and preview section on Wednesday.
