First there was Kelly Krunch. Then came Flutie Flakes and T.O's. Now it's MariO's, a new honey nut toasted oats cereal featuring a screaming Mario Williams on the box.
The Buffalo Bills' defensive end debuted the cereal this morning at a press conference at a West Seneca Tops location. The cereal is available at all area Tops, as well as online at www.plbsports.com, the Pittsburgh-based company that previously made cereals for Doug Flutie and Terrell Owens during their time in Buffalo.
All of the proceeds from the sales of the cereal with be donated to Carly's Club.
“The biggest thing is not being on the cereal box, it’s the opportunity and the chance to give back to those who need help,” Williams said at the press conference, according to the Associated Press. “My father was actually diagnosed two years ago with colon cancer, so I definitely know what it’s like to go through with a family member having cancer.”
