Buffalo Bills right guard Chad Rinehart, in the lineup in place of injured starter Kraig Urbik, did not practice this morning because of a calf injury, according to coach Chan Gailey.
"He's got a calf that he did in practice yesterday," Gailey said. "We rested him today just to kind of make sure we've got him on Sunday. We think he'll be fine on Sunday."
Gailey called the move "precautionary more than necessary," good news for an offensive line that would be forced to start Colin Brown at right guard should Rinehart not be able to play. That would also leave the Bills without any reserve interior offensive linemen. Urbik (ankle) and rookie left tackle Cordy Glenn (ankle) are out Sunday. Chris Hairston will start in Glenn's place.
Safety Jairus Byrd practiced for a second straight day and is listed as questionable with a hip bruise.
"He practiced today and looked OK," Gailey said.
