PHOENIX -- The Buffalo Bills are making a run at the fantasy football version of the reverse triple crown.
The Bills are allowing the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks (22.8), second-most points to running backs (25.4) and fourth-most points to wide receivers (29.2) through the first five weeks of the 2012 season.
Wow. That's really something. If you need a sleeper quarterback for Sunday, the Cardinals' Kevin Kolb has to be considered.
Oakland (22.0) and Tennessee (20.6) are behind the Bills against quarterbacks. The Raiders have a tough matchup against Matt Ryan and the Falcons.
The three best defenses against opposing QBs are Chicago (7.0), Seattle (8.6) and Houston (9.2). The Bears are on bye, while the Seahawks host the Patriots' Tom Brady (you're not sitting him) and the Texans face the Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers (him either).
Against running backs, the Saints (26.2) have given up a few more points than the Bills, while the Jaguars (25.2) have given up just slightly less. New Orleans and Jacksonville are both off this week.
The best defenses against backs have been San Francisco (6.0), Minnesota (6.4) and Seattle (7.2). The 49ers host Ahmad Bradshaw and the Giants. I'd recommend sitting Bradshaw. The Vikings visit rookie Alfred Morris and the Redskins. I'd use Morris in a flex role. The Seahawks should be able to slow the suddenly potent New England rushing attack somewhat. Stevan Ridley is more of a flex option this week.
Against wide receivers, Washington (33.8), Cleveland (31.6) and Tampa Bay (31.3) are the most friendly to fantasy players. The Vikings' Percy Harvin is a must start against the Redskins, while the Browns have to deal with fantasy stud A.J. Green and the Bengals. The Bucs host the Chiefs, who will have Brady Quinn throwing the passes. Dwayne Bowe is a good play this week. He has 57 targets this season, second most in the league.
The stingiest defenses against receivers are Dallas (13.8), Houston (13.8) and Atlanta (14.0). The Cowboys will be a tough test for Anquan Boldin, Torrey Smith and the Ravens, as will the Texans for a Packers team that's top two fantasy receivers are James Jones and Randall Cobb. The Falcons should comfortably handle any of Oakland's receiving weapons.
Against tight ends, Tennessee (17.4), Washington (11.2) and New England (10.8) are allowing the most points. Kyle Rudolph is a great play this week against the Redskins. Zach Miller is second on the Seahawks in receptions, but hasn't reached the end zone yet.
The toughest defenses against tight ends are New Orleans (3.0), Indianapolis (3.3) and Philadelphia (4.0). The Saints are off. The Colts visit the Jets, who should get Dustin Keller back in the lineup. Wait a week to put him in yours. The Eagles face Brandon Pettigrew and the Lions. Pettigrew should still start.
