The Buffalo Bills made a roster change this afternoon, releasing safety Delano Howell and promoting safety Delano Howell from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
Silva, 6-foot-0 and 206 pounds, was signed to the practice squad Oct. 2, after being released by the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 27, when they signed former Bills punter Brian Moorman.
Silva was with the Bills on the practice squad last season before the Cowboys signed him to their 53-man roster Dec. 13, 2011. Silva had 14 career interceptions in his college career at Hawaii, alogn with 169 tackles in 38 games.
