The Buffalo Bills are optimistic running back Fred Jackson and defensive end Chris Kelsay will be available for next Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts in Lucas Oil Stadium.
Jackson missed Thursday night's game because of a concussion incurred last Sunday against the New England Patriots. Kelsay missed his second game with a neck injury suffered in practice.
"We hope to have them both next Wednesday for practice," Bills coach Chan Gailey said this afternoon at One Bills Drive. "That's not set in concrete, but we hope to have both of them."
Gailey said the team's latest medical report on Jackson is that "he feels a lot better. The steps that you have to go through now, everything's going according to plan."
The update on defensive tackle Kyle Williams, who said he thought he broke his arm Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins, was positive. Williams was spotted in the locker room this afternoon, and Gailey said "it looks like he's going to be fine."
Defensive end Mark Anderson and cornerback Aaron Williams aren't as far along in their recoveries from knee injuries. Gailey described each as "50-50" to play in Indianapolis.
